Welcome to the web site of Taunton Deane Council for Voluntary Service

Welcome to the new TDCVS website! At the moment there are a few empty pages on the site which we are working hard to update. Please bear with us for the next few weeks while we complete the update.

TDCVS is a voluntary and community local infrastructure organisation providing the full range of developmental, capacity building and support functions to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of voluntary and community organisations working within the Taunton Deane area.

In its CVS role, Taunton Deane Council for Voluntary Service supports existing and evolving charities, voluntary organisations and community groups across Taunton Deane.

In its Volunteer Centre role, TDCVS recruits and places volunteers and provides support, information and advice for volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations in Taunton and the surrounding area.

Our main aims and objectives are:

  • Working in partnership with others to provide specialist knowledge and support to the voluntary sector
  • Co-ordinating and liaising with local groups to improve community networks and voluntary services
  • Enabling improved representation and communication throughout the local community
  • Helping voluntary organisations to find volunteers, and prospective volunteers to find the voluntary positions they require
